How Can We Sleep?

Pop goes the Culture.

  Nov, 2021.

A vampire on the cover, of Life magazine.

A modern subversion, like you've never seen.

Welcome to the endarkeing,

a brave new world,

on witch we're embarking.

All that we learned in the enlightenment,

Tossed into a hole covered with cement.

Praise for the robber, lire and thief,

so we elected him, commander and chief.

And if you don't like it, you can tweet, rant and rave.

But we will be laughing, as we rise from our grave.

Into the Outback

Sitting on a cliff side, looking out over the land.

My head feeling fuzzy, my mouth all full of sand.

The days are so very hot, oppressive is the sun.

With nights cold and clear, one could have a little fun.

This is the place I go, when I have to get away.

Harsh yet so beautiful, sometimes I just want to stay.

Out here in the Outback, away from concrete and glass.

No boss to make demands, while I relax upon my ass.

Running the rat race all the time, is an unhealthy obsession.

So we all need a place to escape from life's depression.

Out here in the Outback, away from concrete and glass.

No boss to make demands, while I relax upon my ass.

November No Rain

Your Zone.

November 11, 2021

Sitting in your comfort zone,

connected to everything,

yet still all alone.

You pass the days,

with your friend mouse,

wondering if you can ever leave the house.

The old folks were, always on the go.

But for you, time passes way to slow.

You should have it now.!.

That is the slogan you've been fed.

Everything on demand.!.

Good times rolling till your dead.

The old folks always had, money in the bank.

But for you, the economy is deep in the tank.

You should have it now.!.

That is the slogan you've been fed.

Everything on demand.!.

Good times rolling till your dead.

Staring through the window pane.

Disconnected from everything,

except the pain.
