I close my eyes and reach out
my hand,
there is no distance between
us, no far off land.
We dance together on a warm
summer’s night,
our shadows are one in the
firer’s light.
The realist will offer a
hundred reasons why,
its to complicated to work
between you and I.
The romantic will say; be
strong and try.
Its so tragic, if you let your
heart die.
Will we both hesitate to jump
in to love?
Afraid to drown, yet wanting a
shove.
Nothing changes, until you
take hold.
Life moves blindly unless you
are bold.
I open my eyes and reach out
my hand,
together in the rain we will
one day stand.
We can make it happen if we
take a chance,
We can love and laugh, cry and
dance.
